Antonia Prebble, the star of 'Outrageous Fortune', is selling her beloved blue villa in Kingsland, Auckland, after 16 years of cherished memories. The home, located at 44 Second Avenue, has been a hub for cast parties, spa pool mishaps, and a surprise auction win. Prebble, who bought the house in 2009 at the age of 25, never intended to be a long-term Auckland resident. However, her role in 'Outrageous Fortune' and subsequent shows kept her in the city, and she eventually decided to make the house her permanent home.
Prebble's character, Loretta West, was a Westie through and through, and the show was set in and around Henderson, her 'spiritual home'. Despite this, she never considered buying a home out west. Instead, she spent a year searching for the perfect inner-city suburb, attending over 100 open homes. It was the unique blue color of the villa that caught her attention, and she fell in love with the home's indoor-outdoor flow and charming atmosphere.
The villa has hosted many cast parties and holds precious memories for Prebble and her friends. The garden, in particular, is her favorite spot, offering a private oasis with beautiful palms. Prebble also recalls amusing moments, such as the time she put too much chlorine in the spa pool, causing their skin to fall off.
The proximity to Kingsland shops was a significant drawcard, and Prebble often dined at local restaurants like Canton Cafe and Petra Schwama. After meeting her husband, Dan Musgrove, on the set of 'Westside', they moved into the Kingsland house but eventually bought a joint home in Morningside, where they now live with their two boys.
The 104sqm blue villa is listed for sale with Ray White Mt Eden agent Robyn Ellson and is expected to go to auction on December 3. With a three-bedroom layout, 404sqm of land, and an RV of $1.625m, this home is a cherished piece of Prebble's life and a testament to her successful career in the entertainment industry.
